We recently decided to upgrade our 2010 ford F150. We wanted to stay with the F150 ( have a trailer to pull) and used auto trader to input the details of what we were looking for and started our search. We had been to see a few trucks ,different dealerships and met with the salesperson, some good, others not so much! We did come across a 2021 F150 at Erinwood Motors, that met everything we were looking for in a truck, and after txting a couple times with Graham Townsend, we decided to drive out and have a look. We arrived and asked for Graham , and when he came out to greet us, and get to know us a little , honestly it was an amazing feeling to meet someone who you really felt was working for /with you. Graham from start to finish made it the best experience, in purchasing our truck. Very easy going and no pressure at all!
If you are looking to purchase a vehicle ,we would highly recommend heading to Erinwood Ford and asking for Graham! you will not be disappointed!!
So it's been a few months now and there are a couple things with the truck that i wished i had known to check .
1- the sync 4 system ,I found out, updates cant be turned on and the truck is stuck on a factory version meaning there has never been software updates since the truck was built. I had no idea till this week when I started doing some research. I was told the truck had 1 owner and was always serviced at Erinwood Ford, so how this was not addressed i have no idea. After taking to an online ford rep i have to take it to ford service and possibly have to replace the modem/ module.
2 - truck has a 400w power inverter , didn't test it when i brought it home, didn't have a reason to plug any 120v item in.Turns out there is an led light at each plug that should be on, they have never had a green light on from the day i brought the truck home, so it was not tested when the truck was checked out when we purchased it.bottom line , cost will be 600 if i want to replace it.
We still had a good experience purchasing the truck, but in hindsight issues, like i have now, should have been caught during the inspection, pre pickup.
